Project Details

This project involved the renovation and build-out of a modern childcare facility within the Chinook 58 complex, designed to support early childhood programming in a safe, welcoming environment. The scope included both high-quality front-of-house spaces for greeting families and children, and back-of-house areas for operations, storage, and staff support.
From the beginning, the design team emphasized coordination and efficiency: early workshops with stakeholders defined circulation, drop-off/pick-up flows, and age-appropriate activity zones. The workflow was kept responsive throughout design and documentation to align consultants, client representatives, and contractors seamlessly.
Architectural and interior design solutions were developed under rigorous review for building-code compliance, accessibility, fire and life safety, and operational flexibility. The permitting process and code coordination were led by the design team, ensuring full alignment with provincial regulations while delivering a functional, resilient facility that supports the specialised needs of early-childhood care.
